At this time, the WIC Program is not seeking additional vendors for authorization or accepting letters requesting to become a WIC vendor. Please continue to check this site periodically for opportunities that may become available in the future. It is the Connecticut WIC Program’s policy to assess the need for additional vendors on an annual basis and updates to this website will be made as the need for vendors is determined by the WIC Program. Please note that once a need is posted, only those stores deemed eligible to apply are invited to vendor training and given an application package.
Thank you for your interest in the Connecticut WIC Program.

Please note that viewing the presentation on this website does not meet the requirement for training and a representative from each store must attend an interactive session. Please contact the WIC Program if you have any questions.

WIC Vendor Advisory Council (WVAC)
The Connecticut Department of Public Health WIC Program established a WIC Vendor Advisory Council in January 2007. This group serves as a communication forum between WIC authorized retail stores, professional trade organizations, food distributors, WIC local agencies and the State WIC Office. The input from this Council assists the WIC Program in developing effective policies and procedures for vendors, based on current and future Federal and State Regulations. WIC Vendor Advisory Council (WVAC) Member List
As respected members of the WIC vendor community, we are seeking additional vendors and participants to join this Council where your perspectives, expertise and suggestions will be valued. Meetings are held quarterly, typically in Newington, Connecticut. Please email the Connecticut WIC Program if you are interested in participating, ctwic@ct.gov. Agenda items are always welcomed and can be emailed at any time.
